U7 2026-27
The minor Hockey season runs from September to March. Registration opens in June. All registration information and instructions will be posted under “online registration” prior to the June opening. Full Hockey equipment is required.
U7 practices once per week at 3:15pm (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, or Fri) at memorial arena and have an early morning game every weekend at memorial or MNP. After the Christmas break, games will be played at West Kelowna Hockey Centre (3/4 ice surface). The Practice day is set once teams are made after the September evaluations (all Sept evaluations will take place on weekends). The U7 director will be in contact during the evaluation process regarding practice day requests. Teams play cross ice small area games while on the full ice surface. The U7 Jamboree takes place the last weekend of February, everyone is expected to volunteer. Note* this is not a learn to skate program. Full hockey equipment is required. U7 birth years for the 26/27 season are 2020/2021.
U9 2026-27
The minor Hockey season runs from September to March. Registration opens in June. All registration information and instructions will be posted under “online registration” prior to the June opening.
U9 practices once per week, practice start times are between 3:30 and 4:15pm (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, or Fri) at memorial or MNP and have a game every weekend at West Kelowna Hockey Centre (3/4 ice surface) in the first half of the season. Practice days are determined once teams are made after September evaluations (we have approx. 14-16 U9 teams per season). U9 teams are tiered into Two Development teams (top tier), 8 Evans teams (bottom tier) and 4-6 Lutz teams (middle tier) by ability after September evaluations. The U9 director will be in contact after the evaluation process regarding practice days and requests. *We always attempt to have one to two all female U9 Evans teams but this is dependent on female registration numbers, there is no OMAHA U9 female league, so our female team plays against our other U9 Evans teams. U9 will play full ice games after January 15th at Rutland, MNP or memorial and will have early game times. U9 home tournament takes place Family Day long weekend, everyone is expected to volunteer. U9 division birth years for the 26/27 season are 2018/2019. Note* for those that are placed on the two U9 development teams and accept the spot, there will be travel to Penticton, West Kelowna, Vernon, and Kamloops to play the other development teams in their league, they will also practice twice per week, Tues and Fri and have extra fees on top of the registration amount.

U11 2026-2027
U11 recreation practices once per week and have a game every weekend, generally early morning games. U11 Development practices 2 to 3 times per week and have 1 to 2 games every weekend. Travel is required for Dev away games. For U11 rec practice days are determined once teams are made after September evaluations, we have approx. 8-10 U11 rec teams per season and one U11 female rec team. Our U11 rec teams play the other Kelowna teams throughout the season, there is no travel required other than tournaments. The U11 director will be in contact after the evaluation process regarding practice days and requests. For U11 Dev, we have 4 teams A, B, & two balanced C teams and then 1 female dev team. Tryouts for dev teams take place at the end of August every year, those chosen for dev teams will have extra rep fees added to their registration amount. For home games, parents are expected to run the clock, enter the score and provide music. The U11 rec home tournament takes place the first weekend of January, all parents are expected to volunteer. The U11 female rec tournament takes place the final weekend of the season in March. U11 dev home tournaments take place over two weekends in January, and again all parents are expected to volunteer.
U13 2026-2027
U13 recreation practices once per week and have a game every weekend, generally early morning games. U13 Rep practices 2 to 3 times per week and have 1 to 2 games every weekend. Travel is required for rep away games. For U13 rec practice days are determined once teams are made after September evaluations, we have 8 rec teams per season and one U13 female rec team. Our U13 rec teams play the other Kelowna teams throughout the season, there is no travel required other than tournaments. The U13 rec director will be in contact after the evaluation process regarding practice days and requests. For U13 rep, we have one Tier 1 zone team, 3 tiered teams (tier 2,3,4) and one female A zone team. Tryouts for rep tier 2,3,4 and female A teams take place at the end of August every year, those chosen for rep teams will have extra rep fees added to their registration amount. Tier 1 tryouts take place in the spring and mid-August. Tier 1 has a paid coach, and higher fees than our other tiered teams. For home games, parents are expected to run the clock, enter the score and provide music. The U13 rec home tournament takes place the second weekend in November, all parents are expected to volunteer. The U11 female rec tournament takes place the final weekend of the season in March, volunteering is a must. U13 rep teams run their home tournaments, they take place on different weekends throughout the season (check our tournament schedule) and again all parents are expected to volunteer.
