REGISTRATION INFO FOR THE 26/27 SEASON

Central Zone tryout Dates - OMAHA central zone U13 Tier 1, U15AA & U18AA tryouts will start May 8-10 2026.  Round two will take place Aug 14-16 2026. U18/U15 Female A &  tryouts will also take place Aug 14-16 2026. All Female A & AA registration will be done through OMAHA and U13 Tier 1 will be done through Kelowna MHA.  Please see detailed registration and tryout info below.

U11 Dev & U13 rep tryout dates - KMHA U11 Development & Female Development, U13 Tier 2,3,4, and U13 female A rep tryouts will be Aug 29 - Sep 4/26.  Tryouts ice times will take place during the day and into the evening so plan accordingly.  We provide two non-evaluated skates Aug 29th & 30th.  Re-groupings and releases will happen Sep 4th and round 2 of tryouts will continue right after Labor Day.

U15/U18 Rep - KMHA rep tryouts will begin September 8th 2026.  A non-evaluated ice time will be provided prior to the evaluated skates.

All KMHA U7 to U18 Rec - recreation evaluations will begin mid-September.  U7 and U9 will begin Sep 12/13th 2026 weekend.  Teams are formed and schedules are set after evaluations.  Games begin in October.  The season runs until mid-March.

U18 REC OVER AGE POLICY

When registration opens players cannot register online, they must send an email request to play to execdir@kelmha.com.  If there is space in U18 rec when registration closes at the end of August, the exec director will apply to BC Hockey for the over age player.  Other requirements contribute to BC Hockey decisions, ie: age, suspensions, penalty minutes, rec or rep history etc.  No late fees apply to over age players once they are approved to play.

TRYOUT RELEASES TO REC POLICY

All releases from rep tryouts will have a spot held for them in recreation.  Those released from female A tryouts will have a spot held in female recreation.  Those released from integrated rep tryouts will have a spot held in integrated recreation.

OMAHA CENTRAL ZONE & BC HOCKEY AAA TRYOUT INFO

BC Hockey, OMAHA and KMHA tryouts are all independent. If you try out for BC Hockey AAA and don't make the team you will still need to pay the tryout fee for OMAHA AA to tryout for central zone.  If you tryout for OMAHA central AA or Tier 1 and are released, then the tryout fee still needs to be paid to KMHA for tier 2,3,4.  The only exception is if the last couple of releases from AA are still in the AA tryout process past the first 5 KMHA tryout sessions (2 non evaluated and 3 evaluated skates). At that point the players would join the Tier 2 tryouts with no additional tryout fee.  If you are registered for U13 Tier 1 or U15/U18AA tryouts, DO NOT register for KMHA tier 2/3/4 tryouts unless you are released, no late fees are charged to OMAHA AA/Tier 1/Female A releases, the early rate applies.

OMAHA U13 TIER 1 CENTRAL ZONE REGISTRATION

U13 Tier 1 tryout registration link https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/515587  The $325 tryout fee is collected up front, registration and team fees will be added for those that make the team.  Tryouts are May 8-10 2026.  Commitments and releases will be made after round one.  Round two will take place Aug 14-16/26.  Here is the approximate tier 1 budget U13 Tier 1 Budget  U13 Tier 1 is a regional team made up of Kelowna and Winfield MHA players.  If Winfield MHA players are released from these tryouts, they return to their home zone A, they cannot tryout for KMHA tier 2,3,4.

KMHA is offering a two day U13 Tier 1 prep camp on May 2nd & 3rd.  The camp is run by Quintin Laing.  This camp is only offered to Kelowna and Winfield MHA players that are trying out for tier 1.  Here is the team snap sign up link; U13 prep https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/516988

OMAHA U15/U18AA & U15/U18 Female A REGISTRATION

OMAHA central zone registration is now open.  Central zone catchment is Kelowna and Winfield.  There will be a spring ID skate for Central U15/U18AA May 8-10 2026.   U15AA, U18AA, U15 Fem A & U18 Fem A tryouts (main camp) will take place August 14-16 2026.  OMAHA will be using online registration this season, here is the link for AA https://omahahockey.ca/spring-id-camps/ and here is the link for Female A (not currently open) https://omahahockey.ca/female-a-registration/

BC HOCKEY U15/U17/U18 AAA REGISTRATION

REFUND POLICY

Kelowna Minor Hockey's refund policy is as follows:

All Refunds are subject to a $50 admin fee

Rep and Development tryout fees are refundable up to the tryout start date less a $25 admin fee

Refunds are pro-rated monthly to November 30th

Refunds are as follows:

Prior to September 1: Registration amount minus $50

September 1 - 30: Registration amount minus $133.30

October 1 - 31: Registration amount minus $266.60

November 1 - 30 Registration amount minus $399.90

GOALTENDER POLICY

KMHA reserves the right to limit the number of goaltenders per division.  Players wishing to participate in our programs as a goaltender MUST make their position request clear on their registration, failure to do so will result in you being unable to play that position should we have more than 2 goaltenders per team in your specific division.  If more than 8 goalies are signed up for rep tryouts, there will be releases after the first goalie tryout session and your tryout fee will be refunded.
