Congratulations to the Kelowna Sharks, who captured the championship at Kelowna’s annual Shaun Crosby Memorial Tournament this past weekend. Sixteen teams participated in the local PeeWee House tournament, with the top four spots captured by Kelowna teams.

There were exciting semifinal games on both sides, with the Kelowna Sharks defeating the Kelowna Chiefs 1-0 in overtime and the Kelowna Greyhounds squeezing out the Kelowna Vikings in a dramatic OT Shootout 3-2. The Kelowna Sharks then went on to defeat the Greyhounds 4-1 in the championship game.

This is the second consecutive year that coach Ron Baker and his team have captured the Shaun Crosby Memorial title.

Shaun was a young player in our assocaition that was tragically killed in a car crash. We have kept his memory alive by hosting a tournament each year in his honor. Shaun’s parents have been great supporters of KMHA and continue to come out each year during our annual Shaun Crosby Memorial Tournament.
