Eric Blais, Head Coach for Kelowna Minor Hockey, will be leaving the association at the end of May.

Our loss, however, is the Okanagan Rockets Major Midget team’s gain as Eric Blais has been appointed the new Head Coach for the team.

It has been Eric’s goal and dream to one day coach the Major Midget team and we could not be happier for him to have reached this milestone.

Eric has contributed to the success of our association both on the ice in developing successful and winning teams, but also in his focus on player and coach development. His positive outlook, encouragement to players and coaches, and professional approach to his role as our minor hockey association coach is appreciated.
Eric has been involved with Kelowna Minor Hockey since the 2000/2001 season and has progressed from coaching recreation teams to taking our highest profile Rep team – Midget Tier 1 – all the way to the provincial championship in 2012. His experience in player skill development as well as coaching insights give him a unique perspective which served him well as the association Head Coach the past two years. Eric is a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated hockey professional who has willingly given freely of his time, energy and love of hockey to the betterment of our association, players and coaches.

Congratulations and best wishes to Eric Blais in the next chapter of his hockey journey.
