Board Candidate Bios

The following people have put their name forward for KMHA board positions for the 2018/19 season.

Bob Henderson – President

Hello. My name is Bob Henderson and I am just finishing my first term as president of KMHA. I would like to put my name forward for another term as president and am asking for your support. I’ve enjoyed working with the existing board and KMHA staff for the past two years and am excited about where the association is headed. My priorities over the next two years would be to continue to build our skills development program, continue to grow our female participation, provide support and development opportunities for our coaches and officials and increase the level of communication with our members. Working closely with BC Hockey as they become more involved in our rep programs will also be an important initiative for the board. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our AGM May 28th. Thanks!

Steve Cawley – 2nd Vice President (Atom and Peewee)

I have just finished his second year on the board in his role as 2nd vice president. I am a former investment bank executive and assistant coach/GM of the Penticton Vees. I have  coached 5 years in KMHA at the Rep level.

Todd Myles – Treasurer

My name is Todd Myles and I have now been the treasurer of KMHA for 3 years. I am a Chartered Professional Accountant working as a manager at MNP LLP. Over my time on the board I have seen great advancements with KMHA and I look forward to continuing to work closely with the Finance Committee and the rest of the board in order to ensure that the association continues to move forward in a positive direction.

Taryn Kuiack – Secretary

Taryn has completed her second year on the KMHA board as Secretary, and has put her name forward for another 2 year term.

Tracy Muise – Risk Management and Safety

I currently have two boys in Kelowna minor hockey. My son Evan is a Bantam goalie and his brother Easton is an atom player.  We moved to Kelowna in August 2017 from Edmonton. While living in Edmonton my boys both played hockey there as well. I held the position of secretary on the board for two years. I also was part of a number of their committees and team treasurer for two years.  I’m a photographer by trade however, have worked the past 8 years as office manager and project coordinator in the construction industry.
I hope to have the opportunity to contribute in as many ways as possible to help make hockey a fun experience for the Kids and parents.
